Our specialty is tweaking and / or recoding existing sites so they validate to W3C Standards, and hunting down errant bits of CSS or (X)HTML code to solve functionality and rendering issues in the major browsers. Yes, it's a bit masochistic...but somebody has to do it...why NOT us?

The bulk of our designs are based on the wildly popular WordPress platform. WordPress is not just blogging software anymore, it can also be used as a simple Content Management System (CMS). This will allow you to make content changes yourself, rather than relying on a webmaster to do this for you, as WordPress is a very user-friendly program.

Joomla! is another, more feature-rich CMS platform we use for sites that have a large number of pages, or more complicated structure

We will spend time with you, either personally or by phone, to get to know you. This will aid us in creating a site that reflects you, personally, and the image you want to portray.

Communication between the designer and client is very important to ensure that the viewer comes away with the impression you intend. We will spend as much time as required in communication to achieve this, as your site is the public’s first and lasting impression of you.

HOW WE DO BUSINESS

Rates vary depending on the complexity of the site, but we do not charge for initial consultations, communications, corrections (our error).

After your site is built, approved by you and uploaded to your server, any changes that require billing is always pre-approved. We will give you a quote for the work to be performed. If after work commences, you request changes/additions to that work, we will let you know the additional cost, if any, prior to making that change.

Your website will be coded in (X)HTML and CSS and conform to WC3 Standards. This means that as Web Standards change, your site will be in compliance, and will display in any modern browser commonly in use.

Sites that are not coded to WC3 Standards run the risk of “breaking” – displaying in a jumbled mess – when new Web Standards are implemented in the next browser version.

Raven’sHeart Web Studio is always on top of the latest standards by continuing our own education through enrollment in the classes offered by The HTML Writers Guild.

Raven’sHeart Web Studio has earned Certification from the International Webmasters Association in Web Technology.
